On August 28, the 3rd 2026 Matcha (Tencha) Production Technology Training Course wrapped up successfully in Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Co‑organized by the Tea Industry Committee of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, the training drew over 80 participants, including officials from tea‑administrative authorities, representatives of matcha and tencha manufacturers, as well as enterprises along the industrial upstream and downstream chains.

The course covered core topics including global matcha market and national standard interpretation, suitable tea cultivars and cultivation management, tencha processing technologies and equipment, matcha applications in food and new‑style tea beverages, product innovation and brand storytelling, plus hands‑on sessions on grading and sensory evaluation.
