1 Introduction of Tea Industry Committee

The Tea Industry Committee of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (referred to as the Tea Industry Committee) is a national, non-profit professional association formed by companies, institutions and individuals engaged in the tea industry voluntarily. The Tea Industry Committee receives business guidance from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The Tea Industry Committee’s mission is to, through carrying out exchanges and cooperation domestically and internationally, promote its sustainable and orderly expansion for the betterment of all participants in the tea sector. Globally, through active and effective measures to improve the export of Chinese tea, the Tea Industry Committee endeavours to increase the exchange and cooperation with producers and consumers concerning quality, standards, cultivation, technology, and market information, to actively expand the influence of Chinese tea in international markets. At the domestic level, the Tea Industry Committee actively focuses on industrial policies, does an excellent job of industry research and member services, and builds bridges between the members, governments, enterprises, and markets. Simultaneously, the Tea Industry Committee works towards ‘going out and bringing in’ to improve the modernization level of the tea industries, cultivates well-known brands in the industry, and encourages the sustainable development of the tea sector. We work in the spirit of ‘service, self-discipline, coordination and development’.

Welcome to the website of Tea Industry Committee of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation. On behalf of all my colleagues of the Committee, I would like to extend my sincere respect and best wishes to you!

The Tea Industry Committee is a national, non-profit professional association formed by companies, institutions and individuals engaged in the tea industry voluntarily.

We are committed to promoting tea industry via formulating and publishing tea standards, publicising measures to reduce the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers, improving the construction of ecological tea gardens, tracking and warning the changes of tea standards in China’s major tea exporting countries, facilitating scientific research, information and trade exchanges and cooperation with tea-producing countries and regions, holding a series events for the promotion of Chinese tea on a global basis, such as Tea Expo, Industry Forum and Tea Culture Festival. Our primary responsibility is to build the bridge named ‘Tea’ between China and the world, to strengthen the Chinese tea export and to upgrade Chinese tea product.
