During the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province exported tea worth 720 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, with its export value ranking third in the country.
Asia remained the primary market for Fujian's tea exports. From January to July, Fujian exported tea worth 480 million yuan to Asian regions, including 300 million yuan to ASEAN, an increase of 2.2%, accounting for 42.4% of the province's total tea export value during the same period. Exports to Japan reached 140 million yuan, an increase of 10.8%, accounting for 19.1%. Additionally, efforts to explore emerging markets proved effective, with exports to Africa amounting to 150 million yuan, an increase of 61.9%, accounting for 21.2%.
The varieties of tea exported were diverse. During the first seven months, Fujian exported oolong tea worth 300 million yuan, a slight increase of 0.1%, accounting for 41.8% of the province's total tea export value during the same period. Green tea exports value reached 250 million yuan, an increase of 21%, accounting for 34.9%, while black tea exports value reached 94.658 million yuan, accounting for 13.2%.
