At 9.00 a.m. on April 23, the opening ceremony of the 13th China (Beijing) International Tea and Tea Ceremony Exhibition (Beijing Tea Expo for short) was held in the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall of Beijing. 18 actors dressed in Han clothes, followed the ancient ceremony, jointly engaged in ritual the tea saint worship to Lu Yu.

Beijing Tea Expo is hosted by the Tea Industry Committee of China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation and Beijing Jinggang Huanqiu International Exhibition Co., Ltd at Hall 3 and Hall 11 of Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Center. This year, Beijing Tea Expo is themed by "tea moistens the spring and updates all images"(茶润春色、万象更新) with an exhibition area of 26000 square meters. The exhibition has gathered more than 900 tea-related brands both domestic and international, including Xihu Longjing, Guizhou green tea, Enshi selenium-rich tea, Pingyang yellow soup, Qimen black tea, Lichuan red, Jinjunmei, Wuyishan dahongsam, Yixing Zisha, Jingdezhen ceramics, Ceylon black tea and Nepalese black tea.

During the 23rd to 26th , a series of events will be hosted, such as “Spring tea comes to the capital, you are welcomed to have a taste”, “Finding the tea in the Red Dream Mansions”, to name a few.

Tradition meets fashion in terms of the tea. This is a different and unusual Beijing Tea Expo.
