Recently, a batch of 100 kilograms of Pu'er tea, produced in Zhenyuan County, Pu'er City of Yunnan Province, set sail for overseas markets after passing local inspections conducted by Simao Customs, a branch of Kunming Customs.

"Our ancestors have always lived alongside tea, and our tea export trade has expanded to many countries and regions. Entering a new overseas market this time is a challenge for us," said Ai Lijuan, head of Zhenyuan Jade Manor Tea Co., Ltd. "Currently, businesses from many countries are in talks with us about export opportunities," she added.

From deep mountain forests to the World Cup stage, this exemplifies how Yunnan's tea industry is transforming its ecological advantages into international competitiveness and integrating into the global trade system with an open attitude. Data shows that in the first 11 months of this year, Kunming Customs supervised the export of over 4,400 tons of tea, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%, with a value reaching 84.31 million yuan, up 4.4% year-on-year. The number of export destinations has expanded to 32 countries and regions.

To facilitate the smooth export of Yunnan Tea overseas, Kunming Customs has implemented a "one enterprise, one policy" approach to help companies complete the registration of tea planting bases and production facilities for export. A comprehensive quality and safety management system has been established, covering the entire process from planting and processing to export, ensuring that the quality of tea meets the requirements of destination countries from the source. At the same time, timely warnings about changes in foreign regulations and standards are provided to enterprises, ensuring the smooth global journey of Yunnan Tea.
